Egyptomania on the Steppe…

As an Egyptologist, I tend to run into pyramids wherever I go–including in the capital of Kazakhstan at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. I wish I had known about this prime example of Egyptomania while teaching my Egyptomania seminar at Harvard–time to add it to the syllabus!
