It’s a dangerous–and deadly–time to be an American teacher in the Middle East. After the stabbing death of an American teacher yesterday in Abu Dhabi, many professors here in the Middle East are asking: are we safe? I personally know several professors who have already left Lebanon, and can’t help but wonder: has the exodus begun?
