Au Café des Délices

If you travel to Tunisia, make sure to visit Café des Délices for a breathtaking view of the Tunis Bay. The cafe, also known as Café Sidi Chabaane, is just down the road from the Sufi shrine of Sidi Bou Said. When my friend and I were there a few days ago, I found their rosewater-infused Arabic coffee so delicious that I ended up ordering several cups. The cafe was made famous by Patrick Bruel‘s song, Au Café des Délices, which you can listen to in the video below…

St. Louis Cathedral (La cathédrale Saint-Louis de Carthage) rests on the peak of Byrsa Hill next to the ancient ruins of Carthage. In 1830, Hussein II Bey (أبو عبد الله حسين باشا باي) authorized the French consul-general to build this beautiful cathedral dedicated to the memory of King Louis IX
